Jubilee-2 years of Felney Once again the birthday celebrations of Felney have been buggered up by keenspace being down (Last year it was fortunecity buggering up AND my scanner..). Anyway, i made this lastsecondknockup(tm) page to show you what you will eventually see intergrated with the other sections of the site, when it all works:

Mike blah's: Well then, two years of Felney-To be incredibly cliche and boring i'd have to say i really didnt expect it to come this far. After all it started out as a "Weekend extra" comic to go alongside my "Insanity please" Final fantasy comic strip. The main idea was basically to make the fenland people the laughing stock of the internet by having a characters based on combinations of people i've known spouting racist crap (a lot of which has actually came from them during my life). But after the death of the old comic due to lack of ideas Felney jumped into the spotlight as something i could be associated with. Not to mention it was even (mostly) original whereas the old comic was based on Final fantasy and so always seemed "borrowed". Soon it was moved to the "main" site (much of the site is still in the same fortunecity account, alough the comic is now on keenspace) and the insanity comic was deleted. The comic also moved out of the "Kate harrases gays, anarchists and black people with racist shite" and into a broader theme of taking the piss out of the Fens in general, British politics and Capitalism, with the occasional attack on the awful state of the gay scene for good measure. The site started to gain a bit of popularity, especially after moving to keenspcace if the logs there are anything to go by (roughly 18000 hits a month, with 1500 uniqe visitors). The site began to grow too, as i began to make parody pages of things that exist around the fens, Such as the Felney herald, which is really called the Ely standard. Harrowingtons also actually exists, as Harringtons. Slocoach scambus is an admittedly childish alteration of Stagecoach cambus And Q666 an equally unfunny parody of Q103. The size of what i now call the 'Felney network' has eclipised anything i ever did with Insanity please, and it continues to grow and grow ^-^. So sit back and enjoy the next two years of the comic..hell if you (and i..XD) are lucky it might even still exist in two years. But if it doesnt there will always be something Felney related coming from me-ive come this far, theres no excuse for stopping! ^-^
