Welcome to Insanity Classic, the first ever "webcomic" I made. Wait, wasn't Insanity Please my first webcomic? Well, that was the first one to actually make it onto the web. I made Insanity Classic before I had a scanner! I didn't know anything about how scanners worked at the time, so I just assumed it would pop what was on the page onto my compter as completely clean, pure black and white lineart which I could then use Widows Paint to fill in and cel-shade (as well as "tidying up" some of the lineart errors). When I actually got one and tried it, the results were... not the best. I had to wait until I got Photoshop before I could get a fill tool that actually filled in scanned lineart. This comic languished in some folder for years, before it was later scanned and put online as-is. Later still, the old scans were rendered near-unreadable by the march of increasing screen resolutions, so I dug it up to scan again... and suddenly remembered that I'd created a second story! It never got finished, though, so I didn't scan it the first time. Anyway, for the first time, I present both Insanity Classic stories online for my eager fans! ...the second one is actually considerably better (and more 'coherent' - which says a lot about the first!), even if it wasn't finished. No stupid cameos from South Park characters, MST3K characters or real-life train robbers (and part-time Sex Pistols vocalists), either! | |
