Teach English In Japan!

Eboni is one of Japan's lead English private "Juku" schools! We are on the lookout for kind, herdworking and euthanasia teachers to staff one of our 117 schools across the Kanto and Kansai areas.

We are always on the search for qualified and experienced teachers, but we are happy recruit those with no experience too. Eboni offer a full training pogrom for new teachers. You will be taken through the basics of our unique "Eboni Method" with our experienced teachers in an intensive course of team-teaching... until the fourth day, when we will not bother telling the trainer that you are new and they'll gather up their stuff and strut out of the room a minute in, leaving you wide-eyed and clueless in front of a bunch of kids you've never seen before.

Every Eboni school is administered by an allegedly bilingual School Coordinator (SC). They will take care of all the day-to-day tasks of greeting the parents and filling in paperwork, leaving you to concentrate on teaching your classes in exactly the way you want to (as long as the SC approves of it). If you have any problems, the SC is ready and willing to answer all of your questions... with "no".

Eboni Schools are all in modern, comfortable and warm buildings located close to railway stations, except for the ones that aren't. Join us and enjoy working in a comfortable, warm and clean environment... except for when we want you to hand out 300 flyers, which you will have to fold and pack yourself, in a snowstorm.

At Eboni, our native teachers come first! ...right after the kids, the parents, the SC's, the SC's friends who don't even work for the company, and random strangers who phone us up and complain that the guy we have handing out the flyers is "scary".

Eboni offers a fictional package of paid holiday entitlements and on Saturdays, a full lunch break for you to do what you like in... unless any of the kids or parents feel like hanging around in the school, in which case you may not eat, drink, use your phone, look at your watch or sit down in a relaxed manner where they can see you. (NB: Teachers may not leave the school between clocking in and clocking out, so don't think you can go out and eat elsewhere.)

At Eboni, we know that living in a new country can be hard, that is why we do our best to help YOU! All transport expenses are covered, as long as you fill out a barely-functional online form, in Japanese, in a ten-minute window after your last class (NB: Teachers may not leave the classroom and use the school's one computer until all the children have left the school and the room has been tidied). Many of Eboni's teachers have, after only a few months of working here, gone on to successful careers in non-teaching fields, back in their home countries.

Eboni's doors are always open, and we are always on the search for new teachers, ready to impart their language skills and knowledge (within the exactly-defined limits of our curriculum only) to the next generation of Japanese children, so don't delay, and apply today!
