Lively, healthy and up-to-date!The Red Kite will be my more "modern" style adventure comic. Basically an attempt at imagining what might have happened if something like The Victor had continued further into the 90's, and taken inspiration from Sonic The Comic (the last gasp of British adventure comics - exciting, full-colour, but still ultimately based on a foreign property). Basically, original stories, made to be comics first, in full colour and in a modern style (read: like the 90's). Each issue should feature... - Teddy Bear World A, the main story, and most obviously STC-inspired. It's about secret invasions and super-criminals on a planet of teddy bears. - Anti Bully, a more down-to-earth story about kid "spies" in 90's rural England. - The Machine, a semi-realistic, science-based superhero - in Cambridge! - Teddy Bear World B, backup stories of Teddy Bear World, featuring other characters. The pages in between will feature comedy strips... including revivals of some of my oldest comics, Cart Wars and Battles! I aim to make the Red Kite my second-most-common comic, after the Red, White and Blue. It will appear in "off months" between RWB issues, unless some other comic takes those months. Red Kite characters and stories will also appear in the occasional 100-page RWB annuals! |
