Graphic fiction with BITE!

Sorry, It was 2007. "Graphic fiction"? Jesus Christ...

The Tigershark is an idea I had a long time ago, to do a "more adult" comic alongside the Red, White & Blue, with "meaningful" stories. It was inspired by reading about Crisis in the Judge Dredd Megazine (you may also notice some influence in the logo), and how Britain in the late 1980's "wasn't ready" for comics with "adult storytelling" of the kind in Crisis. Of course, "adult storytelling" is a synonym for "woke crap". The only thing recently-unemployed miners and dockers "weren't ready" for was being told how terrible they are for the colour of their skin and their heterosexuality.

Or for letting the dettol run down the drain after they'd cleaned their sinks.

So, as I've now grown up, the Tigershark will have the sort of adult storytelling aimed at appealing to the third-division terraces and the Tesco staff canteen. No doubt it'll upset establishment figures like Pat Mills and Alan Moore, but never mind what they think, eh? If I really feel like pushing the envelope, maybe I'll even include a character who goes to church!
