General Info: |
The first antagonist of Felney, as the surname sort-of implies, they were supposed to be posh. But Kate was also an amalgamation of various fenland people / scum on my college bus, none of whom are posh at all. Her husband put on airs in his "moral guidance" lectures, though. Anyway, they were both racist, homophobic ultra-nationalists, with self-contradictory viewpoints and an air of entitlement. Kate was usually seen at the job centre, council or other such places, trying to get free money, while complaining that "wogs, coons and queers" (actual phrase seen on the guestbook of the Ely website) were doing the same thing. In her first apperance, she attacks Aaron for saying the swear words "gay" and "lesbian" in the presence of her daughter. Of course, today I am the one who is an ultra-nationalist. I've simply transformed Kate into the more embarrasing end of the movement - if I agree with the Brietbart writers, she agrees with the logic-leaping commenters, who are always spouting "they're satan-worshipping terrorists, you know" on articles about moderate Muslims calling for an end to terrorism. She still maintains an air of entitlement from the government and employers, while assuming the UK is the only country in the world with any money, and absolutely everybody else is after a handout, though. |

Character Origin: |
When I started Felney, I was a bratty teenage SJW / Anarchist, who was being constantly "triggered" by racist things my mum said (many of them were not actually racist, I just didn't understand them, so assumed they were. Like calling the village shop "Arkwrights"), so Kate was partly based on her, but over time evolved into a female version of the vermin who rode at the back of my bus to college. She was orignally going to be called Tina, and Tina was going to be called Kate, but somehow they ended up swapped. My old Doom project, Anarchy Doom, had a "punky" girl called Tina in it, though. Also, their family name was going to be Braithwaite, but there was a TV show called "At Home with the Braithwaites" on at the time, so I changed it to Thristwaite |
