A large, multinational space research laboratory created at the turn of the 21st century. It was the largest space station launched at the time, and the primary destination of most space travel during the first quarter of the 21st century. It was built mainly by NASA (USA) and Roscosmos (Russia). It also features modules from ESA (European Union) and JAXA (Japan) as well as a manipulating arm, made in Canada. Great Britain also made a significant and glorious additon to the project; contributing a sticker. Which was made in China. It was originally a primarily American project, and was going to be named "Freedom". But it was felt that this name was incompatible with 21st century progressive values. The Felneryverse bit In an unfinished story for the original The Gun, something like the ISS is invaded by Stealth Force. The space station has been made a Wolf Force military installation, owing to the war. Stealth Force manage to infiltrate it via the sneaky means of building their own Space Shuttle, but putting Wolf Force stickers over their own roundels on it's tail. |
