General Info: |
A large car built by Chrysler in the 2000's, which sold surprisingly well in the UK despite it's size and thirst. Might have been because it vaguely resembled an updated version of the very British Rover P5. Performance models had a V8, but when not being driven in a "spirited" manner would computer-control their cylinders to alternately fire, thus "emulating" a 4-cylinder and saving (some) fuel. Better-off chavs would buy one, then get a £5.99 set of stickers and transform it into a "Bentley". In the Gamma Universe in 2015, it was briefly put back into production in the UK as a diesel-electric car for police and goverment use. This version was badge-engineered as a Rover, and given tweaked styling to look even more like the old P5. |
