Capacity: small cargo compartment for pilot's personal effects. Can also be fitted with under-wing cargo pods for (slightly) more cargo.

General Info:

Once the mainstay of the armed forces of the Kingdom of Doma. This nation was the last country in the world that was not dominated by the Shinra empire. Doma had helped Shinra fight Wutai in World War 2, and had considered Shinra an ally ever since. As Shinra started to take over every other country, Doma grew increasingly nervous. Surprise attacks destroyed almost all of their fuel before the war proper, so the few planes they fielded were outnumbered. Shame, Doman planes are actually considerably better than Shinra models. Though the Doman Monarchy and Anarchists hardly saw eye-to-eye, the Returners were given the planes (and enough fuel to "hop" them away to a long-prepared, secluded "farm" base) to continue the fight.

The Returners used the Wildcats in an attack on Castle Hopenstein, successfully destroying it, though at a heavy cost in experienced pilots, and damage to the planes that did get away. They are currently getting money, recruiting engineering expertise and training pilots, ready for round 2 of aerial campaigns against Shinra.

Origin / Inspiration:

Mostly inspired by the Hawker-Siddely (later BAE) Harrier, with a little bit of the (????)F18, mainly the adjustable rear wings. It also has a "direct" jet exaust to which it can switch, rather than contining to fly using the VTOL vents.

The name was inspired by the first cart I made for Cart Wars, which also showed up in many of the "more realistic" Cart Wars comic strips. We never did a single real Cart Wars race, so Wildcat was never used in anger.
