General Info:

The perennial "first bike" for kids and teens to tear up on wasteland. At least it was in my day. Oh, and, I suppose some people actually use them for transportation, too. In India and Vietnam they are also used as family cars and full-size trucks.

Numerous specs are available. In the UK they're generally 50cc and restricted to 30mph, in Japan they may be "Gentsuki" 50cc and restricted to 30km/h, or destricted 50cc / 90cc "Pink Plates" restricted to 80km/h

Variants:

50cc, 90cc... maybe 110cc too. Numerous companies in China make electric "versions", but I'm not sure Honda does offically.

Origin / Inspiration:

Based on the real bike. After my experiment with the Kawaski went a bit wrong, I got one of these. An "Express Deluxe", deluxe because it had TWO gears! We'd buzz round the garden for hours on about 70p's worth of petrol. Once we got it started, as it had no choke or anything you just had to keep kicking and hope... and would occasionally get some impressive backfires.

Got my brother off the Megadrive / away from the TV like magic.
