General Info:

Developed in a great hurry, due to the start of World War 3, and the destruction of the world's ICBM's, the "Sybil" is a large, supersonic bomber, with influences from the Vulcan bomber and Concorde passenger plane. It has four powerful engines, like Concorde, only they are above and below the wings, and it can supplement it's flaps and elevators with differential thrust. As well as various configurations of bombs and air-launched missiles or gliding weapons, it is also self-defending, to a degree. It carries a large number of jammers, chaff and flares to deter anti-aircraft missiles. It also has numerous in-wing / tail pods, containing it's own aresnal of anti-air missiles. A wing of "Sybils" is a dangerous proposition for an enemy fighter to attack, even if they are unescorted.

Variants:

HSSSB-1 - Standard production bomber, 2020 - 2021

HSSSB-2 - Later, improved version. Features better targeting and navigation systems (GPS satellites no longer function), increasing accuracy. Also larger stocks of chaff and flares.

HSSSB-2R - Sensor-laden reconnisance version. The bomb bay is replaced by an intelligence lab, where data is collected, collated and analysed by four technicians. It is laden with extra high-resolution cameras, ground-scanning radars etc. It's crew compartments are also built to a higher standard, allowing for a larger pressure differential and thus higher altitude flying. It also carries powdered oxygen which can be injected into the engines at high altitude.

HSSSB-2P - The bomb bay is replaced by a small passenger compartment, for high-speed, VIP transport. This one also has the high altitude modifications, as well as strengthening of the engines, allowing it to go faster, close to mach 3.
