General Info:

The latest and greatest of a whole range of Menace vehicles, developed in early Cart Wars stories. This is the only one I just about remember the design of, now. I vaguely remember even drawing an "advert" for Menace 5 or Menace 6, telling people to "watch out for it at West Fen!", which was where I hoped to do Cart Wars for real one day.

In probably the first sign of a "crossover" in my comics (and thus the birth of the Felneyverse??), Menace 6 also showed up in a Battles story! The Blues had upgraded their treehouse, and the Yellows "threw everything at it", including Menace 6, which was promptly demolished by a wall of flying turnips. As Battles took place on flat land, this variant of Menace 6 was presumably pedal-powered.

The Blues were worried by the appearance of Menace 6 on the battlefield, so they must have known what it was. When it was wrecked, the leaders of the yellows rampaged around their office going "NO NO NO NO NO!", to the amusement of the Blues. Also this strip was made before I decided to set Battles on an island. I think it was supposed to be taking place somewhere in Cambridgeshire, too.

Variants:

Gravity-powered Cart Wars version and pedal-powered Battles version.

Origin / Inspiration:

If you don't know why it's called "Menace", why are you here?

But really, it's inspired by a Jocks And The Geordies strip from a 70's Dandy Annual, where they are inspired by studying Leonardo Da Vinci to build a "mobile fort". This is a garden shed with wheels on it, and turnip cannons. It rolls down a hill and wrecks their teacher's car.
