Right then. Let's begin at the very first strip, which, for some reason, was saved as a GIF and not a JPG. I also almost didn't put a date on it, but decided to in the end. I later celebrated this date as the "anniversary of Felney", even though the proper strip didn't start until a couple of months later (it felt like a lot longer at the time, probably because I hadn't been alive for as long). From Strip 0002, until strip 0017 of New Felney, Felney was the real village of Little Downham, re-named. In this strip, it's a made-up village on a plain of flat land. Everybody says the fens has "no hills", but Little Downham is actually on one, which breaks the stereotype a bit XD. In the beginning, this one strip was hosted on my "main site" (and now it is again! after many years on Comic Genesis), and was a 'pilot episode'. I invited my readers to "vote on" whether I should continue Felney or not. I didn't get any votes, as I didn't have any "readers", so went ahead anyway! |
