"Yatta" was an e-meme of the time, based on an animutation (themselves a short lived e-meme genre) which put crazy pictures and "misheard" lyrics over a Japanese novelty hit. Now, in 2017, I live in Japan, and some girl band has just had a hit with a cover of Yatta. I can't not hear "Nippon Q-Qeue... DOG! Ash gala (wonderful)". |
