There was some "controversy" about the chief commissioner of the London Police (who was later airbrushed out of history entirely, I swear I remember his predecessor and successor being named as if there had been nobody in between) joining a left wing forum called Urban 75 (who I later decided were right wing, because they didn't want to put up with my badly-spelled ravings) and, in one post, saying he was "interested" in Anarchism. Naturally the reaction from the newspapers, when they found this post, was proportional and responsi-LOL, no, he was hounded out of his position within 48 hours. |
