There was a time when I was proud of the colouring in this one XD. This one was actually, partly, suggested by one of my friends at college. I wanted to make Felney (the strip, and the site), a collaborative effort towards Anarchism by many members of the working class, so I asked them if they had any ideas (none of them gave the faintest shit about Anarchy). One guy suggested "they get captured by a big spaceship from CCG". CCG is Cambridgeshire Careers Guidance, a totally benign organisation that we decided was evil because you could change thier logo into 666 with a few strokes of a marker pen. When I was at school, I did just that, on one of thier leaflets, then left it laying about. At the next morning assembly, one of the teachers was sitting to one side, holding it, with the "666" on full show. I suddenly noticed it, and my blood turned to water. She then stood up, and just said that the leaflets were important, and shouldn't have been left laying around. I later went up to her and confessed it was mine, and she gave it to me, making no remark about the 666 at all. Still, our friend who would have "attacks" (bouts of uncontrollable laughter, at the slightest provocation) still had one, over how much trouble I MIGHT have gotten into. |
