Review

This one is tiny, it only has 5 seats! You might not be allowed in if it's full. Get there early to avoid disappointment, and then feel bad as she turns away regulars because you are there instead. It nominally closes at 11:00, but might close at 9:00 or 10:00, if it's not busy, or there's something else on.

It's run by the very fun Rika-Chan who loves manga. The bar is piled high with a vast wall of manga over which she passes the beers. Also the back wall is covered in manga shelves, too. The books are the backrest of your chair! Aside from the cool mama, a lot of the other people I've met here have been awesome. They love to talk about comics, doujinshi they've recently bought, upcoming otaku-ey events, and things like that. Some can speak English well, too. I even met a VHS collector in here, once. I'd come home!

The bars on the upper floor in this building also have upstairs areas, but Anna's is inaccessible. The toilet is extremely small, "larger" people might not be able to turn around in there or even shut the door! I recommend reversing in.

Getting There

In a grimy grey building across from the late, lamented Misono Building. As I write, that's being gradually demolished, but loads of online guides for tourists in Osaka will still tell you where it is! (or just use my video.)

It's about four paces from the also-excellent Warp Room. It's opposite New Concorde, which used to be in the Misono, another two paces further are stairs leading up to Benitsuru, which also used to be in the Misono, and at the end of the hall is High Jinks 3... High Jinks 1 used to be in the Misono!

In Conclusion

Tied with Caoff Discovery for first place best otaku bar in Osaka. Just a shame you can't get in a lot of the time. Oh yeah, it's name actually means "hole".
