Review Bit of a wierd layout, this one. It's on the 4th floor of it's building, the "floors" the lift goes up to are more like glorified fire escapes. There's two bars on each floor, facing each other. This one has a glass door so you can see if it's busy before you go in, one useful thing, anyway! I went pretty late at night, it was Saturday night but only one other guy was there. We got a staff member "each" to latch on to us and talk about anime and whatnot. I was kind of drunk but I remember "mine" had bright red hair and did actually know about some anime and stuff. So it wasn't like some of the other overpriced "otaku bars" where they just smile and nod and take your money. Still expensive, mind! Also the other guy came in with the girl who was serving him. Are they a couple, or was she touting? Always avoid bars with touts outside trying to get you to come in. The place has two bars, reinforcing that it's trying to target lonely / shy otaku guys and provide them with one-on-one female attention. As long as they keep parting with their money, anyway. And at least here the "attention" can hold it's own end of a conversation on otaku subjects. If I remember rightly I had two beers inside an hour and it was still almost ¥4000. |

Getting There Kyobashi, near McDonalds. |

Details ¥2500 - 3000 cover charge. Somewhat 高い. Charges may be gender-segregated. Opens at 5 in the afternoon and has karaoke. Apparently you need to budget for "from ¥4000", which sounds somewhat steep. |

In Conclusion Not terrible but not really recommended. If you're on holiday in Kyobashi and don't mind the splash-out / don't want to miss the last train somewhere else, I suppose it's alright. |
