Review A bar I found, once again, by the time-honoured tradition of just walking about. Actually a week or two before I saw the sign for Laugh Tale in passing, while hanging out with some other people. I re-found that sign by pure luck later on, and discovered there's not one, but TWO otaku bars in the same building! Neither of which I knew anything about before. See, that's why you can't rely on just the internet. Anyway, this is more of a "Concafe", and an expensive one, at that. Well it seems so at first, being ¥2300 per hour, but that is also nomihodai, so the prices are actually pretty typical for this sort of thing. Still, there's cheaper options that aren't too far away, if you're otakuin' on a budget. When I went there, by pure luck, a new staff member who speaks English had just joined. That's actually happened to me twice now. She was there on a Saturday, but I don't know if that's her regular day or not. Pictures on Google Maps show the bar with various manga pages plastered around the walls, but they have now changed the decor to "broken rocks" looking wall coverings. There's also an interesting big display at the back of the room, and the usual other figures on the bar and shelves, but not in overwhelming numbers, as you get in some other places. |

In Conclusion Pretty normal. I'll probably go again to have some bantz with the English-speaking staff. But I also need to check out Laugh Tale! |
