A Dragon Quest themed bar, with much merch of the "Slime" enemy knocking about, and the beer served in "fantasy tavern" tankards. I went here several times, even early on Saturday nights, and it wasn't open. Finally one Saturday it WAS open! It wasn't that busy and I mostly got left alone (after the initial obligatory gaijin interest™). As I don't play Dragon Quest, I didn't really have much to say.
The music was probably Dragon Quest music, though orchestral, not midi! Also they were displaying Let's Plays of the old 8-bit titles on the TVs.
When I first arrived, the barman was asking me something about "owner". I had no idea what he was on about. Later a couple came in, and the wife is the owner of the bar, so I guess the owner being present is some kind of special occasion. Anyway the husband was coughing and hacking a good'un. Luckily I was at a distance, I don't fancy the 2024-25 flu, which hospitalised two of the women at my job.
As well as the bar seating, there's small tables and seats along the back wall, so if you're out with a bunch of retro RPG fans, it's a good bet. If it's open!
Doubtless the name "Luida" is some screamingly obvious Dragon Quest reference that I missed.
Getting There
Next to the building containing Otome. Come out of Namba Station exit 14, turn back on yourself and cross the bridge. Take the next right, under the Soemoncho sign, and past the famous "oval ferris wheel" Donki. Then turn left after a Holiday Inn, go up the road, look out for a black and white guide sign in a building on the left.

¥1000 cover charge, ¥800 beer. This place can stack up! Don't know if there's a nomihodai offer, too. Not the most expensive otaku bar, but not the cheapest neither.
In Conclusion
It'll do. I think the one visit's enough. If I'm in the same area I'll probably just go to Otome.

Google maps doesn't list this bar, but one of the other ones in the building has several reviews that suggest it's a scam bar - watch out!
