Review

Unko. "Milu Lari" is actually the name of 3 seperate venues in the same building, two in the basement and one on floor 2. I went to an event here that was advertised as "¥2000 plus 1 drink". Except when I got in it turned out to be ¥2600 "plus" a drink token... for a different Milu Lari!

That's right, the "free drink" can only be had if you come back another time and go to the other bar. That's a borderline scam, that. Also it took the guy like 2 awkward minutes to type that (sort of) on his phone and show me. He typed it into a translate app. Yes, it took him 2 minutes to type a simple single sentence in his own language. Not likely to be troubling the MENSA membership list any time soon, eh? Anyway the DJ event was playing anisongs and some woman who looked way too old to be carrying on kept fake-fainting and screaming whenever a K-pop star they'd cut into the AMV appeared.

Getting There

From Namba subway station, find Namba Hips, you can hardly miss it, it's a gigantic cheese wedge of a building with a rock-climbing wall halfway up the outside. Go past this on the left, and down the road. Milu Lari is on the left somewhere. It's easy to miss, you have to go down some stairs to a courtyard "under the ground", but still half exposed to the sky.

Details

Beer is Super Dry, reasonable size bottles for ¥700. They also have ¥600 cocktails of various kinds I kept trying to use the drink token on before realising the horrible truth. I just chucked it on a random table when I left.

In Conclusion

Cover charges vary based on event, I assume. May be more than advertised. You don't get a free drink. Just don't go.
