This is the universe of my supernatural-based horror stories. Magic, ghosts, demons etc all exist in this universe, as do heaven and hell, nominally based on the Judeo-Christian versions. That doesn't mean all of the horrors have an entirely magical explanation, though. Some of the superheroes from the Theta universe also have versions here... though maybe they aren't good guys! Several of the stories here are in their own sub-universes, due to mass death and apocalypses on the regular. |

Description |
A written story I made at primary school that "took ages" and "was really long". At least it seemed like it at the time. I bet if I typed it out now it'd be about half a page at most. Anyway, I'd just recently discovered The Famous Five (my mum dug up some of her old paperbacks from the loft), and created a story that was a blatant ripoff of Five Go off to Camp. My friends and I (no girls, of course, not even short-haired ones with boyish nicknames!) are on holiday, apparently having the run of a huge moorland where we are able to ride motorbikes, even though we are only 10. I was on a Kawasaki KH125, which I actually had at the time. We find an abandoned old railway yard / scrapyard and a tunnel. For some reason, even though it's on an isolated moorland, there's an underground station in the tunnel, like it's in central London. We hear rumours of ghost trains, see an ACTUAL ghost train (which is never logically explained - but is the reason this story is in the Delta Universe!) and then find out baddies are using the tunnel for some nefarious purpose. Also they leave a steam train with it's steam up just sitting in the tunnel, so we get to drive that too. |

Dad and I got the Kawasaki running and I actually tried to ride a heavy 1970's 125, when I was 10. It didn't go too well. |

Description |
A strip for the first of two planned newspapers at my secondary school (neither of which ever got made). This one was about one of the lockers coming to life and eating people. It is bought to life by "batcieria" falling from the roof of the "locker mobile" (a large portacabin where most of them were). After eating several kids and one of the teachers (the VERY LOUD deputy head, who enjoyed making himself the one the kids love to hate), it collapses due to the cold. We take it to a science room and "dissect" it (with a key), but the warmth revives it, and it starts to rampage again. I can't even remember if this story got finished or not... the art was terrible, even for my standards of the time. The deputy head stopping one of the kids from running is almost as tall as the school building. Also the running kid has "wiggly conveyor belt bands" for legs, a visual device used in Sonic The Comic to show he was running fast. |

Misc Note |
Not only was the art terrible, the visual storytelling was even worse! I can remember thinking that the "dissection" scene wouldn't make any sense to people who weren't me. |

A guy gets abducted by aliens, and remembers bits of it. The FBI find out, and try to cover it up / intimidate him into silence, and he discovers (by ripping the agent's heart out) that the aliens also gave him superpowers. For some reason I thought the FBI also operated in the UK, at the time. So I don't know if this was set in Britain or America. |

Description |
Inspired by Day of the Triffids ...if it had been remade by an Italian film company in 1983! People don't get blinded, and the "triffids" are monsters that look like plants, rather than actual plants. They also have long, razor-sharp tentacles that shoot out and impale / flay people. I think the story was that they grew from seeds that were buried around Earth thousands of years ago. A comet comes by, which produces just the right atmospheric conditions to germinate them. Also a bunch of bugs grow huge too, like spiders, ants and woodlice. Mostly just to have more things that go splat when shot with shotguns. |

Lost, except for a page or two of concept art. |

Misc Note |
I showed the concept art page to someone at school, expecting them to be impressed with how gory it was. Instead they just ripped the piss out of how I drew people. |

I barely remember this, but I think it was about the FBI trying to cover up a UFO sighting, and getting killed. Yeah, basically the same plot as Murder of Evil, only this time I think the aliens did the killing themselves. |

A short horror comic I made about possessed Chavs that attack a remote cabin in the foothills of Wales. Still the most recent completed, full-colour comic I've made (oh, wait, I guess a Zina two-parter I made in 2023 is, now...). The last page was sort of rushed, so what should be a gory scene of a room covered in splattered blood and guts is just totally red. |

For a few years in the webcomic community, mostly around the Keen network (Keenspot and Keenspace, now Comic Genesis), there was an annual Fright Night event. The first, and maybe the second (can't remember now) were excellent, groups of comic creators worked together to make a one-off crossover story, and then these were put up on a central site to read. As the years went by, it just became a list of links to comics that did a special halloween strip, and finally petered out with Fright Night 6. Not wanting to see it die, I made Fright Night 7 myself! It was also mostly just a list of links to comics that did a special halloween strip, but I also did a one-off crossover story, too. This is it! It's mostly crossing-over two of my own comics, though, the others just have cameos. I vaguely recall somebody else did Fright Night 8, and maybe 9, then it died for good. |

A stupid story I began to draw for the original original Red, White & Blue, which was going to have a more "underground comix" vibe, with violence and swearing (and Sexton Blake incongrously appearing in all-ages adventures). Anyway, this story was going to be about an obscene punk band, containing my (then) friend Mallory Smith (of High Maintenance fame) fighting a ghost, who was killing people by swearing so much he'd literally turn the air blue and drown them. |

I might revive the core idea one day. It was alternatively named "Sweary Movie", inspired by a DJ called Terry James, on the Cambridgeshire station Q103. He kept getting put on the naughty step for saying controversial things. When Scary Movie came out, he made a parody called Sweary Movie, which they mentioned, but refused to broadcast. |

Description |
An extremely violent zombie comic my brother made in 2000, it wasn't finished and had many plot threads all crashing together. It was set in 2050AD, where Professor John Rosser creates the "ultimate weapon", the Dead Zone Virus, which is just like the T-Virus from Resident Evil. Anyway, zombies overrun a city so John Rosser calls the military, but they don't beleive him, so he calls some mercenaries called Luke's Special Ops. When they get there he changes his tune and decides to kill the mercenaries instead, sending out snipers and some sort of super-zombie with a machine gun grafted to it's arm. There was also some sort of internal strife in Luke's Special Ops itself, with one woman blowing another's head off. Also they meet a gun nut (he got a .45 semi-auto pistol delivered to him by post! Hopefully such things will also happen in the real Britain of 2050AD) and some sort of man in black... or maybe he's a mobster. |

Misc Note |
2050AD, you know, just in case you thought all this stuff with high-tech armour and laser-sighted guns was happening in the bronze age. Also I started to do a re-make of the first page as a joke, but didn't finish it before coming to Japan. It was on A3 paper and too big to bring. We only kept the original around because we kept re-finding it down the years and laughing at the badly spelled dialogue, such as "their not dieing" and "they kepp on coming!". Some of the guns even made a "BALM!" sound. Oh and actually my brother made an earlier version of this, which was a ripoff of the game Eternal Champions. A bunch of badasses from different time periods get "kidnapped" at the moment of death and put into some arena thing. Hey, wait, wasn't that the plot of Quake 3, too? |
