The last model of the Capri (apart from an 90's Aussie convertible) was introduced in 1978, though it wasn't much more than a modification of the Mk2. In 1981 the 3-litre was dropped in favour of the legendary injected 2.8. There was also a couple of "official aftermarket" turbo versions. From late 1984, Capri's were only sold in Britain, the lesser 1.6 and 2.0 models being branded "Lasers", with various formerly-optional extras as standard. The final 1038 Capris were 2.8i's, branded "Capri 280", with special dark green paint and all the kit. In Felney Software games, it's called a Capricorn. The 2.8i version is a Capricorn S (in real life, there was a Capri S, which was an "ordinary" "sport" version with more recaro-ey seats and extra dials) |

Felney - Mike has an "S" one (possibly a 2-litre, I very nearly bought a crashed-but-repairable 2-litre S once. I should have done, and restored it instead of going to uni). It's shoved at the bottom of his garden, blocked in by a rotten mk1 Cortina and a propped-up, engineless Rover P5. Meaning it's unlikely to be a runner! The Getaway Driver / Grand Theft Felney - In both of these speculative games, the main character has a white 2.8i with a large red stripe on it. Cheap Theft Auto - As does Ryan Harris, the main character of this speculative game. World Pursuit Agency - Andy Fox has a rusty blue 2.8i as his everyday car. He banger races more modern metal XD |
