WARNING: Cringe Factor at maximum level!
This is a compilation of some really old stuff, created when Classic Felney was in it's infancy. This crap lets you see just what sort of person I was when I was making Classic Felney. Of course, I was only 17-18, and a pretty sheltered, unworldly one at that, so some of it can be forgiven. But I did have a few much-older friends who actually encouraged me, which is pretty worrying. These people have the vote!
These old pages are presented entirely unedited, except where they contain "back to the main page" links, which I edited to come back here, instead.
This was the page I created on 25th January 2001 (or possibly the day after) to showcase my new amazing strip, Felney! This was during the original run of Insanity Please, and I was unsure of running two comics at once (hah!), so I just put the first Felney up on it's own page, to see if anybody would encourage me to continue. Nobody did, as nobody reads my shit, but I went ahead with it anyway!
Check out those wonky pictures! This must have been made reasonably far into the run of Felney, as it includes characters from the fantasy and SF versions too. In an older version of this page, Lucy had the alt text "they are real!", which is three times more dialogue than she used in the actual comic.
This is an old FAQ page, from after Insanity Please was removed from the site, and Felney took it's place (oh the days of free hosts with super-limited space). Most of the stuff it mentions as being deleted is now part of this site... somewhere.
A hideously cringeworthy left-wing rant about how to "fix" the "problems" of the British countryside. For instance, you can defeat the racists by, er, being nice to them. You can save the environment by, er, wasting water. You can bring down religion by, er, being nice to Jehova's Witnesses. You can stop crime by, er, not telling the police about it. It DOES suggest driving around with your windows down blasting punk, though. That'll show 'em.
There was at least three of these "what people say and what they mean", incredibly witty satire pieces made during Classic Felney's run. I should have made a "bingo sheet" of Fenland phrases, too. That'd have showed them! Anyway, judging from the colour scheme, this dates from the very first Felney site, and so is probably the first of them.
This used to be a whole comics section to itself, but as it almost entirely features Classic Felney stuff, I'll put it here instead. Actually I did edit this page, well I changed it's design to match the rest of the site.
Another page I did a minimal edit on, it's just the old logos of my website, focusing on the times when Felney was on the front page.
I decided to try making some sort of stop-motion movie with Felney lego characters. But for scenes where people aren't moving, like a car driving up and stopping, they didn't need to be stop-motion and could just be shot in real time... right?
A very distant ancestor of what became Story Info. Basically it's what happened in Felney through the ages. Loosely inspired by a book about The League of Gentlemen... which I vaguely flicked-through in a bookshop once.
Some banners so that people could link to Felney. I'm not sure anybody ever used them. They're in the old standard banner and button sizes, which are now rendered way too small, by the march of increasing screen resolutions. Contains very pixellated sexiness.
