The Kappa Universe is the universe of Kio Shimoku's manga / novel (the anime was... wierd) Genshiken. Genshiken was split into two parts - the first one, which was set in roughly 2002-2005, and the second, which is set in roughly 2012 - 2015 (based on when the volumes started coming out in the UK, anyway... ahem). But the second one continues directly on from the first, thus 'retconning' the first one to 2009 - 2012.
There was also a Genshiken Novel, set sometime between the first and second omnibus editions (or at least, it features the 'original' characters, but after they are all well established). For the purposes of my stories, it's 2010. The Genshiken novel featured many strange and supernatural occurences, including a videogame that kidnaps people, and a demon walking the earth in human form. This is also canon, in the form of an actual demonic invasion from hell. This invasion is undone by a great and legendary hero (aka Japanese university student Harunobu Madarame) and the world is "reset", everybody waking up on the first day of the invasion once again, with the events fading like a vague dream (which explains why the Genshiken characters never mention it again).
(The invasion was Started, contrary to the Genshiken Novel's explanation of a demon getting pissed off by Japanese society being 'degenerated' by anime, by Satan getting pissed off about god being too strict with sinners, and cramming hell full of them. Satan sends the latest 3 sinners back to earth, accidentally opening a rent in the dimensions that allows loads of monsters and zombies to follow.)
Bakuman and The Eltingville Club (along with the Northwest Comix Collective) are also really happening in this universe. Some of the manga "Muto Ashirogi" create will turn up in this universe as real books. Genshiken makes reference to "Pakuman" occasionally. This is a Muto Ashirogi manga about a fictional duo who become famous making a manga about a killer notebook. As if anybody in real life would read such crap. Maybe the Eltingville Club members will turn up in the background of a story set in America... but probably not.

The Labrys is a two-headed Ancient Greek axe which is a more obscure symbol for lesbianism. The Purple Hands is associated with a 1960's protest in San Francisco, where journalists threw ink out of the windows at protesters against false reports on the Stonewall riot, so they covered their hands with the ink and put prints all on the building.

Might never be made, but it's a cool idea. It'd be "semi free roam", with a large town created in the Doom engine. Between the 'mission levels' (which would be linear), you'd be able to travel to/from the missions and your house through the town, which would change over time (and sometimes be day and sometimes night), with in-jokes and easter eggs scattered about. Plus a changing lineup of enterable buildings (it'd be done in the EDGE engine, which has portals) with stuff to find.

Being made. Was supposed to be an excercise in fast-yet-accurate drawing, perhaps managing 10 pages a month or so. It's been probably over a year and I've got four, none of which is finished.
2023 update: Several re-starts were made on this over the years, in 2022 I decided to actually get on with it proper. 250 pages have been sketched, about 25 have detailed pencils finished and 5 or so have been inked.

First I wanted to create a short comic strip about "the worst anime con in the world", called FIASCon. Then it expanded into turning several of the most (in)famous Weeaboo Horror Stories into comics. Then this expanded into knitting several together into one narrative, as a kind of "British Genshiken". Which is set in the same universe as the Japanese Genshiken.
